Documentation and Fees

Due Nov 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. ET

  1. Online Awarding through the Ontario Universities' Application Heart (OUAC)
    The awarding is now airtight.

  2. Autobiographical Sketch & Personal Statement
    The online course is at present airtight.

  3. Non-refundable processing fee of $275 Canadian funds

  4. Dental Bent Examination (DAT) Scores

Due November 7, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. ET

  1. Official transcripts from EACH university, higher or other post-secondary establishment that the bidder is currently enrolled in, or has previously attended. This includes transcripts for all Letter of Permission and exchange courses, every bit well as report abroad programs.

    1. Ontario university transcripts must be requested through the OUAC Transcript Request section in the online awarding. Western University transcripts practice non need to be requested through OUAC.

    2. Ontario transcripts that cannot exist requested through the OUAC application and/or transcripts from a post-secondary institution outside of Ontario but within North America, including Letter of Permission and substitution courses: official transcripts must be sent direct from the institution(southward) to you. Once Western has received your application from the OUAC, you will exist prompted to actuate your Western Pupil Middle, where y'all will be required to scan and upload these transcripts.

    3. International educational activity, including Letter of the alphabet of Permission, exchange courses or prerequisite courses: coursework must be assessed through World Education Services (WES). WES evaluations tin can take several weeks to procedure so we strongly recommended you request a WES evaluation several weeks in advance of the deadline. Translation is required for prerequisite form synopses, if not originally in English. You must select:
           Western Academy – Undergraduate Admissions every bit the recipient, and
           WES - Course-by-Course evaluation to be sent by electronic delivery.

  2. Proof of Permanent Resident condition in the course of a photocopy of both the front and dorsum of a Permanent Resident card is required. Canadian citizens practise not need to submit proof of citizenship.

  3. Proof of English language proficiency for applicants whose offset linguistic communication is non English, or who take not completed whatever postsecondary education in English.

All documents must be uploaded to your Western Pupil Center. Difficult copy documents will non be accepted by Western University or the Schulich Medicine & Dentistry Admissions Office.

Dental Aptitude Test (DAT)

Due November 1, 2022 at eleven:59 p.m. ET

  • Eligible tests must exist written within the two years prior to the application borderline:
    • between November i, 2020 and October 31, 2022
    • only the most recent DAT, written within th eeligible time period, volition exist used.
  • When y'all register for the DAT, check the appropriate box to release your results to Western:
    • CDA DAT - select"Western University"
    • ADA DAT - select"Schulich Schoolhouse of Dentistry of Western University"
  • Official DAT resultsmust be sent past the Canadian/American Dental Clan (CDA/ADA) directly to Western Academy.
  • DAT scores could take 6-viii weeks to be released so applicants should program accordingly to ensure their scores are received past the awarding borderline.

Important Notes

  • Early on submission of applications and supporting documents is strongly encouraged. The awarding deadline is strictly enforced.
  • Awarding documents are Non retained from year to year. Previous applicants must resubmit all documentation. The only exception is DAT scores which are kept on file for the elapsing of their 2-year eligibility.
  • Applicants who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree must be in the final year of their plan to exist eligible for consideration into the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Programme.
  • Internationally trained dentists are NOT eligible to apply to the DDS Program, but may exist eligible to utilise to the Internationally Trained Dentists (ITD) Program. Delight visit the ITD Program webpage for admission information.

It is the applicant's responsibleness to ensure all documentation is submitted to the appropriate part by deadlines indicated.

Falsification or misrepresentation of information from any portion of the application process, including interviews, will result in removal of the application from consideration and may be considered in whatever future applications to the University.
