Cyberpunk 2077's Free DLC Now Coming After Major Fixes as CD Projekt Red Founder Issues Apology

Cyberpunk 2077'south free DLC has been pushed back a little in club for CD Projekt Red to focus on fixing the game. This news comes equally one CD Projekt Red's co-founders, Marcin Iwiński, issued a personal amends for the issues that take plagued the game since it launched last month.

In a video posted to the official CD Projekt Ruddy and Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter accounts, Iwiński takes full responsibility for the land the game released in, saying "Myself and the board are the terminal decision makers and it was our call to release the game." In the telling video, he states that the studio volition exercise its best "to regain your trust."

Afterward breaking down the technical reasons for Cyberpunk 2077's major issues, Iwiński states that they "really believed we'd deliver in the final 24-hour interval aught update." Unfortunately for them, however, their "testing did not show a large part of the problems…" This is the reason for the delay in the review codes for the console editions for the game as they were "fighting for quality on old-gen consoles until the very last minute…"

Equally with much of the industry, CD Projekt Cerise suffered difficulties from the COVID pandemic, pregnant the studio was working from domicile.

Iwiński then talks about wanting to fix the bugs and tells fans to "await bigger and smaller patches on a regular basis." He follows that by talking about the futurity of Cyberpunk, referencing both the upcoming free DLC, plus the next-gen upgrades. Of the DLC, he states that:

"Our initial plan was to release them simply later on the release, much like we did with The Witcher 3. Nosotros decided to focus on the most important fixes and updates commencement and we'll be releasing the DLCs afterward. Expect more information in the upcoming months."

That suggests that the DLC will exist coming later than planned, with no news due for "months."

CD Projekt Ruby-red as well still plans to release the free next-gen upgrade of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2022. He says that they are aiming for "the second half of the year." The total update roadmap is beneath.

He ends the message once again assuring fans that they are "working hard to make it right" and that they "still want to make astonishing games."
